To become a broker,  a Florida Licensee must have an active real estate license for at least 1 year of the previous 5 years.  Prior to beginning the broker process, the licensee must have completed their initial 45 hour post licensing course for their sales license.  To become a broker, the licensee must complete and pass the State certified Brokers Pre License course and pass the state exam for Brokers.

Real Estate Licensee's in other states or countries may also be eligible to sit for a Brokers license by meeting certain qualifications.  Call The Royal Institute at 239-332-3080 for additional details.

Licensed Brokers are also required to complete broker post classes totaling 60 hours  in their first renewal.
