Becoming an appraiser requires first a series of classes to get your Appraisal Trainee License. There is no state test for this license, but you will need to pass each course test before proceeding. The following represent the classes you will need to complete to become an appraiser trainee. Basic Appraisal Principles, Basic Appraisal Procedures, National 15 hour USPAP class, and either Residential Site Valuation with Appraisal Rules & Laws & Roles of Supervisors & Trainees or Residential Market Analysis with Appraisal Rules & Laws & Roles of Supervisors & Trainees
